What is Yoga? Its Origin!

Yoga is a vast collection of spiritual techniques and postures.

It is primarily aimed at integrating the mind and body to achieve a state of enlightenment and oneness with the universe.

If you want to achieve calmness of mind and body then you should go for yoga. I am not saying that Yoga is the only way to achieve spirituality or enlightenment but it is the best way.

The postures performed in Yoga is called Asanas.

Yoga generally done in the west is Hatha yoga which is one of the many paths of yoga.

The different paths of yoga emphasize different approaches and techniques but ultimately lead to the same goal of unification and enlightenment. 

The origin of Yoga is dated back to pre-Vedic Indian traditions.

Yoga gurus from India later introduced yoga to the west and the rest of the world.

Outside India, yoga is developed into a posture based on physical fitness, stress relief, and relaxation technique.

Yoga in traditions is more than relaxation techniques, it has more relation to the meditative and spiritual core.
